Message from the Pro Vice-Chancellor
Welcome to the Office of Corporate Development and Community Partnerships. A defining feature of the University of Newcastle has always been its community collaboration. The Office of Corporate Development and Community Partnerships was established to develop and strengthen the University’s important relationships within the local, regional and national communities.
The University of Newcastle’s Institutional Strategic Plan 2007-2011, sets out a purpose statement expressing the desire to 'make a distinctive difference in people and in society'. We strive to accomplish this by:
- Preparing graduates who are life long learners and sought after by employers, and who contribute to society by being adequate critical and global citizens;
- Contributing to the intellectual, social, economic, cultural, sporting and environmental enrichment of our communities.
Our Office identifies and supports mutually beneficial activities, focussing on those that build skills, capacity and knowledge within our community.
We look forward to assisting you in engaging with the University.
