Uni Life Expo
Are you interested in sport, socialising, specialist activities, politics, religion or would you just like to find out what is going on around campus? For all you need to survive life at Uni come along to the Expo where you can see valuable campus info stalls, meet like-minded groups, enter competitions and sign up for membership of student organisations and kick off your uni life. Free workshops at NUSA
Come along to a NUSA workshops on bike maintenance, meditation, cooking, being green at home, or salsa dancing. Look for the NUSA workshop timetable around campus.
Visit the Library and Information Common
O week is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the libraries and Information Common so why not take a Library tour?
There are two libraries on the Callaghan campus providing access to more than 1.3 million items. These include books, online full-text and data sets covering all disciplines and research areas. The Auchmuty Information Common operates 24 hours a day during semester. Students have ready access to computers, library resources, and print/copy facilities. The Information Common also has a cafe where you can enjoy a coffee while you study.
Come and discover the many ways in which the library can assist you with your studies.

How to get there
Callaghan Campus is situated on University Drive, Callaghan, only 15 minutes drive from Newcastle CBD. Public transport to Callaghan Campus by bus or train is readily available, with the 'Warabrook' train station adjoining the University's campus.

Some sessions provide information and skills that you will need to get you started in your very first week at Uni. Other sessions provide strategies and tips to ensure your success.
No need to book for these sessions, just come along on any day and get a head-start into your university career.

Back to Study: Survival skills for mature age students
Monday 11 February 2008,
10.450pm - 4.30pm - Great Hall
This session is designed to assist mature age students make the adjustment to University life, and to provide practical survival skills to help juggle work and domestic responsibilities with study. It is also an opportunity to meet experienced mature age students and fellow commencing students.
