Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Supervision Excellence

The University of Newcastle recognises the important role that supervisors play in our research achievements and in supporting our talented research higher degree candidates.

Each Faculty will recognise their most outstanding supervisor with a Faculty award.  The Vice-Chancellor's Award for Supervision Excellence is then presented to the most outstanding application received for a faculty award. Winners of a faculty category will receive $2,000 (paid as salary, travel or research funds) and a certificate.  The Vice-Chancellor's Award for Supervision Excellence will receive $10,000 (paid as salary, travel or research funds) and a certificate.  The awards will be presented at the annual staff awards in December each year.

Nomination is from former students.  Please refer to the Guidelines for full details of the nomination and application process.

Applications close 24 October 2008.

Please note the guidelines for the award have been revised for 2008.
