The International Leaders Series (ILS)
The International Leaders Series (ILS) is one of the highlights of the iLEAD annual calendar. 2-4 times per year, the University will invite a high-profile speaker to come to talk to participants in the iLEAD program. The speaker will be someone who has had distinguished leadership and international experience.
The series allows students to hear from leaders in the field, to learn from their experiences and to have the opportunity to quiz them on various topics. Speakers have included:
- John Anderson, founder of Contiki Tours
- Lane Beachley, world champion surfer
- Khoa Do, Young Australian of the Year 2005
- Mr. Amit Dasgupta, the Consul General of India
In some cases, small groups of students may get the opportunity to spend time in a small-group discussion with the ILS speaker about the experience and various projects.
To find out more, see the ‘ILS events’ folder on Blackboard.
