Campus Quest - Callaghan Challenge

Time: 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Where: Meet at the Bar on the Hill (Map Ref UH – H9)

Get into the competitive spirit and prepare for a challenge like no other. Meet new people and get to know the campus in a fun interactive way. Make your way around campus with your team to visit the various checkpoints and complete the checkpoint challenges. Enter your ‘passport’ scorecard at the final checkpoint for your chance to win some amazing prizes.

The Campus Quest will conclude with Newie’s shout at Bar on The Hill, followed by the prize ceremony, free gourmet BBQ and some great entertainment hosted by the International Office and UoN Services. Come along and enjoy delicious food, kick back and relax!

Shopping Tour

Time: 4.00pm-7.00pm
Where: To be provided upon confirmation of registration
Cost: Free

Jump aboard for some retail therapy!

The International Office is hosting a free shopping centre tour departing Callaghan campus by coach and travelling to one of Newcastle’s major shopping malls. Fashion, jewellery, electronics, whitegoods, bed linen, and food items are just some of the items on offer. Coaches will return to Callaghan Campus by 7pm.

This tour is always well attended and numbers are limited. First in, best dressed!

Australian Reptile Park

Time: 9.30am-3.00pm
Where: Maths Bus Stop
Cost: $13.00 to be paid at the park on arrival

Come join us at this hands-on zoo for some close encounters with the park’s scaly and furry animals.
See lots of Australian wildlife including ‘Elvis’ - NSW’s biggest and crankiest crocodile. View native and exotic reptiles and spiders.  Have a photo with a giant python, a wombat or a cuddly koala.

Buses will depart Callaghan Campus at 9.30am and will return to Campus by 3.00pm. Bring a packed lunch or purchase lunch from the kiosk at the park.

Cost: $13.00 to be paid at the park on arrival. Registrations will open in early July.
Registrations are open for the first 100 students only, so register early to secure your spot.
