Succeed - Personal Journey
Perhaps you're aware of growing confidence as a student. You might be pleased with your discoveries and achievements. Or you may be disappointed with some of your results.
You'll probably still have quite a lot of work with assignments. Encourage yourself and your classmates. You're nearly there.
Study outside class could take priority for a few weeks. You might like to pause and take stock. What's your plan? What strategies might work? How will you prepare for your exams?
Some students will find themselves off track. That's ok. Seek support so you can re-assess. It's still possible to withdraw from courses until the last day of semester. Consult your course coordinator and Hubs staff.
Soon you'll be celebrating the end of semester. We hope you enjoy your break.
Before next semester begins, you might take a moment to review your experience of first semester. What have been some of the low points and highlights? What have you learnt about yourself?
"I felt like giving up but now I'm glad I kept going."
"I was hyped up and got a kick out of the challenge."
"I dropped one course and felt relieved that I could pay more attention to the other two."
"Try and apply all the tips you were given in Semester 1."
" I kept going to the gym. It helped me."
"Remember your goals for coming to uni in the first place as a way of sticking with it."
"I got into a routine so I could stay focused on exams."
"My friends and I planned fun stuff for when exams were over."
