Costs of Studying in Australia
As an international student there are a number of costs that you will incur while you are in Australia.
Tuition Fees
The indicative total tuition fee is provided on your Letter of Offer. You will also be able to check your tuition fees on the Tuition Fee Schedules for International Students.
Please note that the fees listed in the schedules are in Australia dollars ($AUD). These fees are indicative tuition fees and may vary depending on course selection.The fees cover teaching costs only.
Student Services and Amenities Fee
Many Australian universities, including the University of Newcastle, charge a Student Services and Amenities Fee to improve the services offered to all students.
In 2013, the fee will be a maximum of $AUD273 for full-time study and AUD$204 for part-time study.
Living Costs
Whilst studying at the University you will be responsible for other costs including:
- Living Costs (including accommodation, food, clothing, transport, entertainment etc)
- Incidental expenses (including books, equpiment required for your studies, internet, sporting memberships etc.)
