- Search study options using the Program Finder
- Read our student testimonials to find out what university is really likee
- Sign up to our e-newsletter and receive regular updates on what's happening
- Get some advice on selecting a degree program
2. Grab a copy of the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) Guide
If you are a year 12 student sitting the HSC in NSW or ACT, your school will give you a free copy of the UAC Guide. You can also purchase UAC Guides from major newsagencies and bookshops. The guide is your information source to ensure you apply for university correctly. For more information, visit the UAC website.
3. Check for additional entry requirements
Your course may have additional selection criteria (such as auditions, interview,
criminal record and working with children checks), so it is important that you check this before applying. You should also check for prerequisites, assumed knowledge and recommended studies for your preferred program.
Find out if your program has special admission requirements.
4. Apply through UAC
On time main round applications close in late September. Please note that some programs have earlier closing dates; check the UAC Guide for details. You can still apply for the main round until early December but you will be charged a late fee. All applications for our undergraduate programs are through UAC. You can apply online at the UAC website.
Please note that different application requirements apply for some degree programs; see the section on special admission requirements for more information.
Students can nominate up to nine preferences and these preferences can be changed up until early January once your initial application is submitted. You should put your preferences in order of what you would like to study most, rather than UAI. Some programs can be commenced mid-year where you would commence studying in July, it is important to check with the university the programs that will be offered. Admission is through UAC.
If you are interested in applying for mid-year entry, you should check whether the program you are interested in is being offered mid-year.
