Applying to uni after Yapug

Yapug students apply for admission to university undergraduate degree programs via the University Admission Centre (UAC). At the end of the Yapug program, you will be assessed for university admission on the basis of the average of your results in all 80 units of study.

Selection is competitive and is based on academic performance. It pays to work hard to achieve the highest average score you are capable of, giving you more options for your future.

For more information on the undergraduate admissions application and selection process, visit the UAC website.

Note: Students are NOT sent an ATAR by UAC. Students can request their equivalent admission ranking in person or by telephone at the Foundation Studies office.

What can I study?

Graduates of Yapug can apply for admission to any undergraduate degree program at the University of Newcastle, including the Bachelor of Medicine program. The Yapug qualification is also recognised as an undergraduate entry qualification by most Australian universities.
