Part-time Open Foundation

Part-time Open Foundation is a 40 unit program conducted over the course of one full academic year from March to November.

It is offered via two modes of study - on-campus at Callaghan (Newcastle/Hunter) and Ourimbah (Central Coast); or online (for students who live outside these areas or who cannot attend on-campus classes).

On-campus Part-time Open Foundation

The on-campus part-time Open Foundation program is designed for students in the Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast areas who are able to attend classes for two semesters.

In most cases, courses offer the flexibility of either day or night classes spread over 1-2 weekdays.

Online Open Foundation

The Online Open Foundation program is designed for students who cannot attend on-campus classes, and need a flexible pathway. It is offered online, through the University's online learning management system, Blackboard.

Six pairs of courses are currently offered in the online mode of Open Foundation.
