What does it cost?

There are no fees for the Newstep program. You will not be liable for the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) during the Newstep year, but will be liable for HECS once you are enrolled in a university undergraduate degree.

Students should expect that there will be costs for course readers and textbooks in each semester.

Financial Assistance

Newstep is a Centrelink approved full-time program and as a Newstep student, you may be eligible to apply for Youth Allowance financial assistance. Please contact your local Centrelink office for details.
