Operations/Airport Supervisor/Manager (Aviation)

Within the aviation industry and operations supervisor can refer to a number of different specialty positions. Generally the operations supervisor will oversee the day to day performance of tasks and duties of ground crew within an airport. This can include areas such as;

Refuelling and resupplying of aircraft.

Baggage handling

Customer Service

Aircraft maintenance

Air Traffic Control

Supervisors will be expected to have knowledge of the areas they are responsible for and will typically be promoted from within those areas or a related section. They may also require specific qualifications to work in those areas.
