In this role, a marketing professional would oversee all marketing operations of an organisation from a strategic level. Seniority and extensive experience would be essential for this position where little if any hands-on marketing tasks would be performed. Financial and people management as well as advanced strategic planning skills would see an individual in this position make high level decisions, manage budgets, identify opportunities for growth and even commission or develop new data tools. Postgraduate qualifications may be necessary for this role which is usually well paid.
