Multicultural Affairs Liaison workers work in collaboration with indigenous and ethnic groups, organisations and communities. This type of role may aim to identify service provision to the community as well as any gaps in services that may be evident, develop strategies resources and support services to assist the people within the community. Multicultural Affairs Liaisons may specialise in different cultures, such as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer (ALO) who works in collaboration with Aboriginal people. It may be useful to have a second language when working with some communities.
