International exchange coordinators facilitate exchange programs, usually through schools and universities. They may be responsible for organising host accommodation, enrolment, travel and insurance for those going on exchange as well as marketing and advertising their program in the community. Additional tasks may include; processing applications, providing personal support to exchange students, organising activities and functions to help students integrate into their host country, liaising with other schools and universities and managing a team of staff.

Professionals in this industry usually have a bachelor degree and are skilled at interpersonal communication and organization. International studies or fluency in another language may also be useful in gaining employment.
