Astronomer / Astrophysicist

Astrophysics is the application of the principles of physics to study celestial bodies. Astrophysicists may be interested in the features of the solar system, stars and galaxies; specifically their origin, structure and composition.

It is likely that in order to gain a job as an astronomer/astrophysicist you will need a Masters or PhD in physics/astrophysics.  Job positions may also involve science museum curating, lecturing, research with a government or science research organisation (eg. CSIRO, NASA).
