Success stories

Code of Conduct
Contact: Yvonne Hooper

Objective

The two main objectives of the project were to make staff aware of the University’s new Code of Conduct and to encourage them to attend the Xmas launch of the Code. The Xmas launch was also designed to be a showcase for the University’s talented Chamber Choir.

Communication Channel

We used All–Staff emails sent by the Vice–Chancellor, personal email invitations to staff and students involved in the development of the Code as well as a poster campaign using the very catchy slogan ‘Crack the Code’. The internal comms information included the points that the choir would be performing and that there would be a lucky–door prize; two popular drawcards. We also handed out copies of the Code of Conduct to the 500 attendees at the conclusion of the launch.

Project Outcome

The campaign was very successful with more than 500 staff attending the launch in the Griffith Duncan Theatre. The ‘Crack the Code’ poster supported the information already sent out by the Vice–Chancellor and these had a big and colourful impact. About 70 posters were placed in buildings throughout Ourimbah and Callaghan campuses by administrative staff in these areas.
