Research expertise

I have done extensive research in to the effect of foot orthoses and footwear modification on lower limb function. This has involved the use of 3D motion capture system to calculate change in rearfoot kinematincs and kinetics and kinetics at the knee joint following intervention with foot orthoses and diffeferent types of footwear.

An intial longitudinal clinical trial also examined the long-term effect of foot orthoses on gait characteristics in a healthy adult populations with the aim to develop and evidence -based approach to podiatric practice.
