Biography
My expertise lies in wastewater reuse to land, the associated impacts of wastewater quality on soil structure and contaminant export to natural waterways. The ability to maintain soil structure for a woodlot irrigated with municipal effluent of variable chemical composition was the focus of my PhD thesis. The impact of sodium on clay particle behaviour was used as a surrogate for predicting the impact of irrigation/rainfall events (of differing quality) on soil structure comprising different sodium percentages. Wider research interests include integrated water cycle management, contaminant export from non-sewered areas and soil/water interactions and processes.
