DBA Convenor, University of Newcastle, August 2005 to January 2009.

This role involved presenting marketing seminars to recruit students, assessing applicants for entry into the DBA programme, recruiting supervisors, quality assurance, developing policies and contracts, as well as managing day-to-day operations. The DBA programme was a large operation whilst I was the Convenor as it was available in Newcastle, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and online.

This role involved administering the undergraduate programmes as well as establishing and administering the MBA programme in Singapore. Duties included recruiting and selecting adjunct staff, training adjunct staff on the University’s teaching policies, practices and quality standards, managing quality assurance by reviewing teaching evaluations and addressing student complaints, ensuring successful program delivery by communicating regularly with all stakeholders, training students on academic integrity and academic skills, and managing day-to-day operations.
