Biography

Brendon holds double Honours degrees from the University of Newcastle, graduating in Social Work (BSW) in 1998 and Law (LLB) in 2004. He obtained a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching in 2009. His primary area of teaching is Criminal Law and Procedure at the Callaghan Campus. Brendon joined the School of Law as a tutor in 2006, and is presently course coordinator for Criminal Law and Procedure. His academic interests include controlled operations, criminalisation, legal theory, and legal history. He is currently engaged in PhD research in the field of controlled operations. In 2008 he was awarded the Faculty of Business and Law Excellence in Teaching Award, followed by the Vice-Chancellor's Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. He was subsequently awarded a Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council in 2010.
