Katerina Stratilas
About
Introduction
Katerina Stratilas is a Learning Adviser at the University of Newcastle. She has over ten years experience in teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) students both within the Australian context and internationally. In previous positions, Katerina was a coordinator of a bilingual program and taught Business English at the International College Business School. She has had experience in teaching as a High-school teacher, teaching international students at Griffith University and students at TAFE.
In her current role, Katerina supports students with the development of their academic language and learning skills throughout their degree programs and is part of the English Language Support team that developed the Diagnostic Academic English Language Test (DAELT).

MA Applied Linguistics (TESOL) (Macquarie University)
BA DipEd majoring in Modern Greek, Japanese, English with Mandarin as a minor (Macquarie University)
