The permit options outlined below allow a visitor to park in General parking areas, signed as "P".
This type of permit is valid for one day and must be purchased in advance. Permits must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard, with the correct month, day and date scratched. The current cost of the scratch and display day permit is $3.00.
Scratch and Display day permits can be purchased from the University Cashiers, level 3 Student Services centre.

The permit must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard with the date and time of issue face up. The machines take $2, $1, 50c, 20c and 10c coins. The machines do not give change. The cost of the machine vended day permit is $3.00.
Free parking is available in Carpark 15 which is located near the Ray Watt Oval and Carpark 16 which is located near the railway station both are on the Eastern side of the campus. You can view Carparks 15 & 16 on the campus map.
Motorcycle parking on Callaghan, Ourimbah and Newcastle City Precinct campuses is free, and no permit is required. Motorcycles must be parked in a designated motorcycle parking bay only.
Visitors who have an RTA Mobility Permit displayed are eligible for free parking in Disabled, Staff and General car parking spaces. Please note that RTA Mobility Parking Scheme conditions apply.
