Timeliness

You will need to decide how important it is for you to have current information. For assignment topics dealing with current technology and developments, the timeliness of information is extremely important. For other assignments the age of material may not be so important an issue.

Ask yourself:

• When was the information written and published?
• Is the information current? If there is a need to add or update data, is this available?
• If the information found is dated, is it still valid for the topic?
• Is there a date when the website was last updated? Original publication date?
