Connect to DatabaseLibraries Australia

Description

Libraries Australia (previously known as Kinetica) provides access to the national database of material held in Australian libraries, over 13 million bibliographic records - books, journals, film and other media. It is a union catalogue which displays the locations of material in over 700 Australian libraries, although not all items in the database are held in Australia.

You can search for any item and locate which library in Australia holds it. Gateways to other major library databases are provided.  Libraries Australia supports cooperation and resource sharing within the Australian library community.

An Enhanced search interface is available which gives access to advanced searching, downloading of citations, ability to purchase a copy of the item from an online bookshop, and email alerts. Use of the Enhanced service requires a password.

All interlibrary loan requests/inquires for staff and students of the University of Newcastle should be directed to Inter Library Services.
