University Collection

The University collection has around 750 works that have been acquired since the University was founded in the 1960s. The collection reflects the best of regional and national work with featured artists such as:

• John Coburn
• Charles Blackman
• John Olsen
• Margaret Preston, and
• Margaret Olley
  (who is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from the University.)

The collection continues to grow and a focus for the collection is to acquire works which reflect our region and it's people. The collection aims to profile the work of our staff and local artists and the work of our Post Graduate student population.
