Travel Web Portal

Travel Web Portal is a requisition tool which is used by both travellers and travel arrangers to book all university travel. The tool is a requisitioning system that allows the approval process and trip planning to be held in one portal.

Delivers more timely (and workflowed) travel authorisation process

Delivers a streamlined and self service model for domestic and international travel

Delivers a streamlined and more professional consulting model for international travel with choice of Travel Management company

In addition, the Travel web Portal has incorporated the following systems which are accessed through the Travel web Portal.

These are:

An Online Booking Tool - Amadeus: to be used for Domestic and simple international journeys in which Airfare, hotel and car hire can be booked and paid for online using the corporate credit Card

Duty of Care Management system - International SOS Providing all University of Newcastle employees worldwide with international medical, security and travel assistance, managed and administered by International SOS.
