Mr
Michaels:
Good evening, Mrs Greenway. I am Mr Michaels. Surena is in my
homeroom and in my mathematics class.
Mrs
Greenway:
Good evening. I am sorry my husband, Darryl couldn't come. He is
a security guard and works odd hours.
Mr
Michaels:
You work at the canteen here don't you?
Mrs
Greenway:
Yes. We are both very interested in our daughter"s education.
I'm also active in the parent-teachers association. We want Surena
to do well. Is there anything we can do to help her improve her
work?
Mr
Michaels:
Surena is a quiet girl who works very hard. Her work is neat and
tidy. She has trouble with Maths and English, but she does well
in art and music and drama. Is there any possibility of getting
a tutor for her?
Mrs
Greenway:
She's always had problems with her school work - even in primary
school. She tries so hard. I'll speak to Darryl about getting a
tutor if you think that would help, but I just think maybe she is
a little slow.
Mr
Michaels:
It's entirely up to you of course, but I'll give her all the help
I can.
