2nd Asia-Pacific Educational Integrity Conference, University of Newcastle 2-3 December 2005

This conference addresses the emerging issues of academic integrity, values and ethics in teaching, learning and research and will give an opportunity for participants to focus on fundamental principles of education in all sectors. Dr Gordon Barnhart (Canada) and Prof. Thomas Angelo (New Zealand), will be joined by a number of others to discuss honour codes, ethical dilemmas, quality teaching & assessment, education for citizenship & leadership, and teaching & learning technologies supporting educational integrity. The fascinating 3-parallel stream program will challenge educational institution managers, educators and education support staff.

University of Newcastle staff will receive a staff development grant from Human Resource funds of a 25% reduction in the early bird rate until registrations close, e.g. $259 for two days of conference 2-3 Dec. University of Newcastle students can attend at a cost of $75 per day (not including the conference dinner)

Training workshop for Sessional Academic staff.

This one day program aimed at part time and casual academic staff will cover facilitation skills, practical advice on teaching techniques, incorporating inclusiveness into your teaching, academic integrity, assessment and more. This program has been centrally funded and sessional teachers will be paid for the day by your School, providing Head of School approval has been obtained.
