What is NUSTAR?
NUSTAR (Newcastle University Student Administration Records) is the University of Newcastle's student information system that captures all student records for current and past students.
NUSTAR is our name from the Oracle Corporation's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions product that we first put in place back in 2001. Since then it has undergone two major upgrades in 2007 and 2010.
In 2012 we gave the NUSTAR system a complete overhaul to replace the ageing infrastructure. We now have a brand new hardware and operating system platform to support our business operations into the future.
2013 will see us start to take advantage of some of the new features and functionality that Oracle has released.
Who can access NUSTAR?
University staff, both academic and professional, that need to view and administer student records can apply for access to NUSTAR via the NUSTAR Registration Page.
NUSTAR can be reached via a link on the Online Systems page or going directly to http://nustar.newcastle.edu.au
How does myHub relate to NUSTAR?
myHub is the Student Self Service window into NUSTAR. It is the student's view of their own records in NUSTAR and allows them to perform administrative functions regarding their contact details, enrolment, fees and other associated activities.
Students can access myHub via the link on the Online Services page or going directly to http://myhub.newcastle.edu.au
