2010 Your Voice Survey

2010 STAFF SURVEY RESULTS

The 2010 Your Voice Survey provided our staff with an important avenue to share their views on a range of issues, and the findings are a valuable tool to determine our areas for improvement. This site is therefore limited to University staff only. You will need a UoN Login and Password to access the results.

The survey was completed by staff between 6 and 21 September. Responses were analysed by the Voice Project, a research and consulting company linked with Macquarie University.

Staff forums, hosted by the Vice-Chancellor and President, were held on 3 December at Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses, and teleconferenced to smaller campuses.

During the latter part of 2010 and early in 2011 a series of Faculty/School and Division/Portfolio meetings will be held to ensure staff are given the opportunity to reflect on the survey findings and inform proposed actions. Staff will be asked to identify 2 or 3 actions they would like taken in their own work unit and 1 or 2 actions to be progressed at a University-wide level across the following improvement areas:

  • Organisational Direction
  • Diversity
  • Facilities
  • Leadership
  • Involvement

Staff responses and suggestions will be considered by the broad leadership group in February, and used to finalise a University-wide Action Plan to present to the University Council in March. Action plan implementation at the local workplace level will commence as soon as possible in the New Year.

Updates on the progress of action planning will be posted regularly to this website.
