How do I register my interest?

Thank you for your interest in the SOS Student Mentor Program. We are absolutely delighted with the response to our expression of interest and have received a record number of applications. Unfortunately we have had to close our books to applications at the moment but will definitely be recruiting for mentors to assist at mid-year orientation. We will put the expression of interest form back on the website closer to this time.

Desirable qualities for SOS Mentors

Successful completion of one calendar year of university study
An approachable and friendly manner
Commitment to the program for a full academic year
Willing to maintain contact with commencing students in a proactive manner
Willing to attend Mentor training
Willing to share with others their experiences of being a first year student at the University of Newcastle.
