Australian Universities Procurement Consortium (AUPC)
The University of Newcastle is part of the AUPC which was formed by a group of Australian universities that saw the potential of leveraging off the aggregate volume of their non-salary spending to achieve lower commodity prices. The initiative seeks to leverage the combined purchasing power of the Australian University sector to achieve significant cost savings through economies of scale and the adoption of best practice in supply chain management.
