What is wellbeing? Wellbeing describes our happiness, physical condition, confidence and general outlook on life. There are many elements to personal well being which include:

  • Physical Wellbeing
  • Emotional Wellbeing
  • Intellectual Wellbeing
  • Living standards
  • Social Health and Community (Feeling part of a community and keeping positive relationships)
  • Safety and Security (Feeling Safe and secure in both one’s present and future situation)

Wellbeing is one of the most important aspects of our daily life. We all understand the importance of wellbeing; however everytime Uni becomes especially busy, it becomes a real struggle not to neglect other areas of our of our life. It is these other important elements of wellbeing - such as your social life with friends and family that help us keep the right balance.

Life can be so busy; at any one time you could be juggling uni study, work, family matters, and much more. Even if one of these elements drops away it can be very difficult to maintain a positive attitude. Maintaining wellbeing is your own responsibility and learning how to create balance in your life can go a long way to building resilience and a better quality of life.
