Trade publications

Trade publications include journals and other materials providing up to date information on specific areas or industries. They are usually published or sponsored by a trade organisation with the purpose of informing, advertising and promoting products, suppliers, technologies, current events, and issues in the industries to its practitioners, professionals and customers.

Because the intention of trade publications is to inform as well as promote products, suppliers and services, users need to evaluate the information included for self-promotion or bias.
