Using the Find Citation command

This method is useful if you are unsure which of the references in your Library is the correct one. The Find Citation command allows you to search your Library using any word that appears anywhere in your Library’s references.

  • From the EndNote toolbar in Word, select the Find Citation icon Find Citation(s) icon. This opens the EndNote Find Citation Window
  • Enter your search terms, then click Search. Matching references will be displayed in the bottom panel of the Find Citation Window
  • Select the required reference from the search results, then click Insert (or double-click on the reference in the bottom panel)

  • The citation will be inserted into your Word document, and a bibliography entry created.
