Searching your Library

As your Library grows in size there may be times when you need to search for sets of references.  EndNote provides a search tool which allows you to search very generally, or restrict searches to specific fields.  Boolean operators may also be used to broaden or narrow more complex searches.

To search your Library:

  • Select References > Search References Search
  • Type the terms you want to search for in the text entry boxes within the Search Window, select the appropriate field and boolean operator, then Search
  • The Library Window displays just the references matching your search.  When you have finished working with your search results, select References > Show All References to display all references in the Library Window.
