Electronic copies of journal articles and book chapters will now be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will need to download the latest free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these articles.
Accessing Short Loans Online
Viewing
If an electronic copy is available, one of the following messages will appear: *ELECTRONIC COPY AVAILABLE* or *INTERNET ACCESS*
- Click on title required.
- Enter your Student number or Library Card number and PIN. Need to create a PIN?
- A copyright notice is displayed, "WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS"
- Click on the 'submit' button to continue. This enables you to select the link to view or print the article.
- If the Short Loan section of the catalogue is accessed through the My Library function you can avoid having to put in your password again each time you access a scanned article.
Printing
- To print a document, click on the Adobe printer icon
located on the top left-hand side of the ACROBAT toolbar.
- DO NOT print by selecting the 'print/print frame' from the 'file'menu from your web browser, as this will only print a blank page.
Saving to Disk
- To save the PDF file to your hardrive or floppy disk, click the Adobe disk icon
located on the top left-hand side of the ACROBAT toolbar.
- To save the PDF file using your web browser, select the 'Save As' option from the 'File' menu, using the .PDF file extension
