Short Loans Bookings

Using NEWCAT for self-bookings

Select the Short Loan item then follow the onscreen instructions
Click on BOOK this item
Type in your student or library number and PIN
Click on SUBMIT (it won't accept the enter key)
Check date and hour availability on the calendar
Enter the BOOK FROM date and time
Click on SUBMIT
This will confirm your booking
Enter the FINISH date and time and add any notes if required
Click on SUBMIT
ITEM BOOKED message will then be displayed.

To book Items for Overnight

Mondays to Thursdays, select booking time as 20:05. The item will be due back at 08:15 the next morning.
Fridays, select booking time as 17:05. The item will be due back at 13:15 on Saturday.
Saturdays, select booking time as 15:05 The item will be due back at 13:15 on Sunday.
Sundays, select booking time as 15:05. The item will be due back at 08:15 the next morning.

The return time cannot be altered for overnight bookings.

Please note: Booked items will not be put aside but may be found in the Short Loans area. Booked items not checked out within 10 minutes of the booking time may be given to another client.
