Photocopying for Students and External Borrowers

Photocopiers (including Colour copiers):

Photocopiers are located throughout the Auchmuty, Huxley and Ourimbah Libraries. Copiers in the Short Loans areas are mainly there for copying Short Loans material. Other copiers should be used to copy general resources.

A colour photocopier is also available in the Auchmuty and Ourimbah Library and is quite easy to use. Follow the written instructions or ask for assistance at the Loans Enquiries Desk as mistakes can be costly.

To operate the Photocopiers, you will need a current student card with credit added to your Printcopy account.

Autoloaders are used to add credit and students will need to swipe their student card through the loader to open their "printing account" and then feed money into the loader. The autoloaders do not give change, but they will take notes as well as coins.

Visitors to the Library

Photocopiers are operated by plastic magnetic cards which can be purchased for $2.00 from Value Tellers in the Auchmuty, Huxley and Ourimbah Libraries. Simply insert a $2.00 coin to receive a card which is re-useable.

These cards will operate photocopiers in the Auchmuty, Huxley, Conservatorium and Ourimbah Libraries.

The cards are also used to operate printers attached to the Library's CDROM computers and microfiche reader/printers.

Adding value to the cards:

Value (money) must be added to the card before it can be used. Value Tellers are located near the entrance to the Libraries, and accept the following notes and coins:

Simply insert your card and insert coins or notes so that your card value covers the cost of the copying you want to do.

Come prepared as the Library does not offer change facilities

NOTE: Be careful how you store your card because it can be damaged by magnetic interference from such items as other cards, stereo speakers, TV etc.

Black and White A4 - 11c Colour A4 - $2.00
Black and White A3 - 20c* Colour A3 - $4.00*

*Not available in the Ourimbah Library

Paper Sizes, Overhead Transparencies, Reduction, Etc:

Fully optioned machines offering A3 and A4 paper are available in the Short Loans areas. Machines are also located in the main photocopier room in the Auchmuty, Huxley and Ourimbah Libraries. All machines have reduction and enlargement options and can be used to produce multiple copies.

Only transparencies purchased from the Auchmuty, Huxley and Ourimbah Libraries and the Student Union Shop can be used in the Library's copiers. Transparencies for the colour photocopier can be purchased from the Auchmuty and Ourimbah Library and the Student Union Shop. Library transparency costs are 50c for Black and White, $1.00 for Colour. Library staff in the Short Loans section or the Audiovisual section of the Huxley Library are available to assist with the production of transparencies.

NB: Users must observe the Copyright Act which is on display near the photocopiers. The photocopiers can be used to enlarge or reduce. If you require assistance please see Loans Enquiries staff.
