Requesting books and journal articles

Books and Journal articles may be requested via get it - University of Newcastle Library's online requesting service. You will need to register before you can use this service.

Postal Borrowers initial due date is extended to allow for postage time - any consequent renewal is the same as for any other student.

Remember to use other libraries in your area, as often they will hold your required books and journals. Dealing directly with these libraries may save you time and money.

Renewing Loans

Loans may be renewed either by using the 24 hour Automated Renewal Telephone Service or online via Newcat.

Returning Loans

Return items by mail in padded envelopes to the Auchmuty Library. Allow enough time for return by the date due as fines will apply on overdue items. Students are responsible for the cost of return postage.
