Open Access Week  22nd – 28th October 2012

Win an iPad!

The Library is engaged in a number of activities to promote Open Access Week during 22nd-28th  October 2012.  Open Access Week is intended to raise awareness of OA as a means to provide free online access to scholarly publications. One significant way in which authors can participate is to self-archive copies of their peer-reviewed manuscripts (Final Accepted Version ) into the University’s institutional repository, NOVA.  A large number of UoN staff and RHD students are already making archive copies of their work available online via open access and the Library would like to encourage more authors to follow this practice. 

To promote support of OA the Library is inviting UoN staff and RHD students to archive copies of their peer-reviewed manuscripts (Final Accepted Version) into NOVA.  Each author submitting copies of their manuscripts to NOVA for our Open Access Week promotion will go into the draw to win an iPad.   In addition, each submitting author will receive a coffee voucher which can be redeemed at Bytes and Expresso Plus cafés (Auchmuty, Huxley, Forum, Hunter) on Callaghan Campus. You can also advise us if you prefer to redeem your voucher at another UoN campus.
