We're extending the Ourimbah Library

Work is progressing on the extension to the Ourimbah Library. The steel girders are in place and the extension is starting to take shape. We expect to see the walls and roof go on in the next week or two.

Work is progressing on the extension to the Ourimbah Library. The steel girders are in place and the extension is starting to take shape. We expect to see the walls and roof go on in the next week or two.

The project will open up the library to the quadrangle and create more activity in this area.

What’s Happening?

  • 24 hour Information Common on ground floor
  • 90 more computers More space for laptops (power and wireless)
  • 5 more group study rooms
  • More printers
  • More quiet space
  • More lounges
  • Easier access to bigger physical and virtual collections

Stage 2 will include a coffee shop to open later in the year.

How long will it take?

We expect the extension to be finished by the end of April 2011.
