The Flowers Room Refurbishment Project

 

Why Renovate?

The roof over the Flowers Reading Room (Auchmuty Library, Level 4) requires replacing as it is more than 40 years old and has developed serious leaking problems which can only be addressed with a major re-roofing and refurbishment project.  We have also been given the opportunity to renovate the reading area to provide new shelving, more computers, new lighting and refurbished group and postgraduate study areas.  The Flowers Reading Room will be closed for the second semester of 2008. 

Update: The Flowers Room and Roof Garden are now closed for renovations.  Planning is well underway to replace the roof and to refurbish the Flowers Room.  The construction work commences on the 28th July and preparatory work is now in progress.
