The Employee Relations team provides the following services for staff members of the University:

  • Awards and Workplace Agreements: drafting, negotiation, implementation, interpretation and advice;
  • Industrial policy and procedure formulation;
  • Industrial case management and advice;
  • General Staff Classification Review administration;
  • Academic Workload information and advice; 
  • Separations advice;
  • Conflict Resolution – technical advice

Staff at the University of Newcastle may have their conditions of employment covered by a collective workplace agreement of which the University has three.  The following links take you to the full agreements:
