When you first launch Outlook 2010 or 2011 and configure it to connect to your new UNify account, your data will be copied from Microsoft's 'cloud based' Exchange server to your computer and maintained in both places by synchronising. This is known as 'Cached Exchange Mode'. It allows you to work with a local copy of the data with or without a connection to the internet.
If you use Microsoft Office, then your learning curve for UNify won't be too steep, because the Outlook user interface is similar to Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
The address book, calendar, task list and virtual sticky notes are all integrated and dragging and dropping an e-mail message can create an appointment or a task or a note.
