FAQs about getting ready to migrate to UNify
A. We recommend you clean up your mailbox prior to migrationafter reviewing its contents by archiving or deleting messages in line with Records Management Office guidelines.
|Will migrate automatically||Will migrate, but requires setup afterwards||Will not migrate but can be setup afterwards||Will not migrate|
*While all care will be taken during migration, it is possible that some emails will not be successfully migrated due to corruption in GroupWise.
A. No. All appointments, accepted or not, will be in your new calendar only (not your Inbox) and you can accept them from there. To avoid any problems arising from this, you may like to respond to all appointments in GroupWise prior to migration.
A.Over the last couple of months we have been running scripts over network drives and local computer drives to locate GroupWise archive folders. If you did not receive this email it is because we have already been able to identify you as having an archive folder which needs to be migrated to the new Office 365 system with your mailbox.
A. From your GroupWise main window, go to:
> Tools > Options > Environment > File Location > Archive directory
If the Archive directory displays the following, your archives are located on tank0:
Note: your UniID will be displayed instead of abc123.
A.The software we are using to migrate our email system from GroupWise to Office365 requires archives to be located in a central location allowing them to be migrated to the new system at the same time as your Mailbox. This will mean that your archives will be available to you as soon as you are migrated to the new system.
A.Software will be available to separately migrate your archive/s to your new mailbox after it has been migrated. Unfortunately this will mean you will need to log a job and your archive/s will not be available to you as soon as you are moved to the new system. Also, this migration process takes a lot long then if your archive/s are migrated with your Mailbox.
