Mobility Disabilities

All students requiring support through the Disability Support Service must register.

Services available for students with a mobility disability include:

• Accessible campus-based transport
• Room changes to accessible rooms (if room is timetabled in inaccessible rooms)
• Ergonomic furniture placed in lecture rooms
• Exam support
• Library assistance
• Advocacy
• Notetaking

Because of the individuality of the needs of students with mobility disability, the above are only examples. It is encouraged that you discuss your particular needs with the Disability Liaison Officer to ensure the appropriate support services are provided.

It is important that specific arrangements are made in a timely manner. Some services can take up to 3 or 4 weeks to put into place. To ensure that Disability Support Staff can make the necessary arrangements, please make contact with the office with adequate notice.
