Who Can Apply?

Prospective students

If you have previously studied at the tertiary level you may be eligible for credit towards your University of Newcastle qualification.

Current students

Students proceeding on any of the following must obtain prior approval for their intended study program in order to ensure credit transfer will be available for successful completion.

• Outbound Study Abroad or Exchange Students (PDF)

Previous University of Newcastle students

Current University of Newcastle students who change programs within the University may be able to receive credit for study already completed in their original program. If you are changing from one University of Newcastle program to another, and have lodged your request through the University Admission Centre, you will need to apply online for credit.

International students

International students are encouraged to apply for credit at the time of their application for admission. Your offer letter will state the amount of credit transfers you are eligible for and your eCoE will be issued to reflect the duration of your program after your credit transfers have been taken into account.
