How are University Medals awarded?
The process of awarding University Medals includes:
- Nominations from each Faculty of all graduates who have shown exceptional academic merit to the University Medals Committee. Nominations include details of Grade Point Averages for the overall program and final year, number of High Distinction and Distinctions, structured and internal transcripts for all nominated candidates, and citations from the relevant Heads of School or Discipline; and
- A meeting of the University Medals Committee chaired by the DVC (A). The Committee meets to examine, consider and review all information provided by the Faculties, and determines the award of Medals.
